AMENDING THE 2024 ADOPTED COUNTY BUDGET AS IT PERTAINS TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY

PUBLIC SAFETY RE: RESOLUTION NO. 2024141 AMENDING THE 2024 ADOPTED COUNTY BUDGET AS IT PERTAINS TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY Legislators FAUST, ROLISON, GORMAN, VALDÉS SMITH, ATKINS, KEARNEY, and LAWLER offer the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the District Attorney has requested the appropriation of forfeiture of crime proceeds post-conviction, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 13-A of the CPLR, said funds must be used to enhance prosecutorial and law enforcement efforts, enforcement training, equipment and operations, and not to supplement ordinary budgetary expenses, and WHEREAS, the District Attorney has requested that the sum of $27,000 be placed in a District Attorney Asset Forfeiture account to be used for the purchase of equipment, as listed on the attached Asset Forfeiture Expenditure sheet, now therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Finance is authorized and directed to amend the 2024 Adopted County Budget as follows: APPROPRIATIONS Increase A.1165.05.2500.03 Other Equipment 3 Year $27,000 REVENUES Increase A.9998.95110.01 Forfeiture - State Reserve $27,000 CA-078-24 LDF/rj G-0135 07/08/2024 Fiscal Impact: See Attached.
