CONDOLENCE: BHARATI DESAI

DUTCHESS COUNTY LEGISLATURE Condolence: Bharati Desai Resolution No. 2024169 The Dutchess County Legislature offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, on September 13, 2024, the Dutchess County Legislature learned with great sadness and regret of the recent death of Bharati Desai, and WHEREAS, Bharati was born on July 3, 1947, in Porbandar, India, and grew up in Mumbai, India where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, and WHEREAS, Bharati married her husband Kamalesh Desai in 1971 and moved to Dutchess County, New York where she worked for the Dutchess County Probation Department for over 20 years, and WHEREAS, Bharati found happiness in helping others and was involved with the Hindu Samaj in Wappingers Falls, and WHEREAS, Bharati is survived by her husband Kamalesh, her children Vanisa and Neil, and a large extended family, and WHEREAS, Bharati's passing will be mourned by his family, friends, and colleagues throughout Dutchess County, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Dutchess County Legislature, on behalf of all the people of Dutchess County, does hereby extend its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Bharati Desai, and be it further RESOLVED, that the meeting of the Dutchess County Legislature be adjourned in memory of the late Bharati Desai.
