RE:
Amended Resolution Request (2024-123)- Youth Wellness Support Microgrant
Program
The Dutchess County Department of Mental Health is requesting an amendment to Resolution
2024-123, originally passed in July 2024. The purpose of this amendment is to update the
language in the original resolution for clarity and accuracy. The resolution currently reads,
"Whereas, DBCH seeks to appropriate $200,000 in restricted-use opioid settlement funds to
establish a microgrant program for community-based non-profit organizations or municipalities
to provide support, treatment and/or prevention of substance use and co-occurring mental health
challenges in children and young adults (under age 25)". We are requesting that it be amended to
read, "Whereas, DBCH seeks to appropriate $200,000 in restricted-use opioid settlement funds
to establish a microgrant program for community-based agencies/organizations, non-profit
organizations or municipalities to provide support, treatment and/or prevention of substance
use and co-occurring mental health challenges in children and young adults (under age 25)",
clarifying that both community based agencies and non-profit organizations are eligible to apply.
