CONDOLENCE: SYLVIA L. CULHANE

DUTCHESS CONNILY LEGISLATURE Condolence: Sylvia L. Culhane The Dutchess County Legislature offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, on January 17, 2025, the Dutchess County Legislature learned with great sadness and regret of the recent death of Sylvia L. Culhane, and WHEREAS, Sylvia was born on September 1, 1943, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to the late Vivian and Thomas Cavallaro, and WHEREAS, Sylvia married her husband, Thomas E. Culhane, on June 7, 1980, and WHEREAS, Sylvia worked for the Dutchess County Department of Mental Hygiene, volunteered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and was a long-time supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital, and WHEREAS, Sylvia is survived by her three sons Edward McCloskey, Jr., Craig McCloskey, and Thomas McCloskey, her step-daughters Debbie Finateri, Pattie Eacobacci, and Susie Culhane, her granddaughters Courtney Sanchez, Haleigh McCloskey, Denise McCloskey, Samantha McCloskey, Autumn McCloskey, Nicole McCloskey, and Gianna Eacobacci, her grandsons Joseph Finateri, Jr. and John Finateri, her great-granddaughter Alessandra Sanchez, her sister Brenda Tillits, and her brother Joseph Cavallaro, and WHEREAS, in addition to her parents and husband, Sylvia was predeceased by her fraternal grandparents Angelina and Joseph Cavallaro, her maternal grandparents Louise and George Butland, her godmother/aunt Lena Biscardi and her sister Diana Cavallaro, and WHEREAS, Sylvia's passing will be mourned by her family, friends, and colleagues throughout Dutchess County, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Dutchess County Legislature, on behalf of all the people of Dutchess County, does hereby extend its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Sylvia L. Culhane, and, be it further RESOLVED, that the meeting of the Dutchess County Legislature be adjourned in memory of the late Sylvia L. Culhane.
