CONDOLENCE: ROSALYN (ROZ) SHANKMAN

DUTCHESS COUNTY LEGISLATURE Condolence: Rosalyn "Roz" Shankman The Dutchess County Legislature offers the following and moves to adoption: WHEREAS, on February 18, 2025, the Dutchess County Legislature learned with great sadness and regret of the recent death of Rosalyn "Roz" Shankman at the age of 82, and WHEREAS, Roz was born on August 6, 1942 in Peekskill, New York, to the late Herman and Regina Vever, and WHEREAS, Roz graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1959 and dedicated over 30 years working for the Dutchess County Department of Mental Hygiene, and WHEREAS, Roz is survived by her daughter Michele Valente, her son Brian Shankman, her grandchildren Jamie, Joseph, Nicholas, Haley, and Kayla, and her great-grandchildren Troy, Molly, and Chase, and WHEREAS, Roz's passing will be mourned by her family, friends, and colleagues throughout Dutchess County, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Dutchess County Legislature, on behalf of all the people of Dutchess County, does hereby extend its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Rosalyn "Roz" Shankman, and, be it further RESOLVED, that the meeting of the Dutchess County Legislature be adjourned in memory of the late Rosalyn "Roz" Shankman.
