CONDOLENCE: RICHARD NOEL

DUTCHESS COUNTY LEGISLATURE Condolence: Richard Noel The Dutchess County Legislature offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, on March 12, 2025, the Dutchess County Legislature learned with great sadness and regret of the recent death of Richard Noel at the age of 88, and WHEREAS, Richard served in the Air Force National Guard and later pursued a higher education at Tufts University, where he earned a Master's Degree in Engineering, and WHEREAS, Richard served as a Dutchess County Legislator from 1978 to 1983 for District 20 - Towns of East Fishkill and LaGrange, and from 1984 until his resignation in 1986 for District 21 - Town of East Fishkill, and WHEREAS, Richard also served as Dutchess County Deputy Comptroller from 1986 to 1997 and Dutchess • County Comptroller from 1997 to 2005, and WHEREAS, in addition to his wife, Sandra, Richard is survived by his three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and WHEREAS, Richard's passing will be mourned by his family, friends, and colleagues throughout Dutchess County, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Dutchess County Legislature, on behalf of all the people of Dutchess County, does hereby extend its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Richard Noel, and be it further RESOLVED, that the meeting of the Dutchess County Legislature be adjourned in memory of the late Richard Noel.
