FAMILY & HUMAN SERVICES RESOLUTION NO. 2025102 RE: AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF A PRIOR YEAR UNENCUMBERED VOUCHER FROM 2025 FUNDS AS IT PERTAINS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH Legislators GARITO, HOUSTON, POLASEK, MC HOUL, VERSACI, D'AQUANNI, and GORMAN offer the following and move its adoption: WHEREAS, the Department of Mental Health has advised that it recently received an outstanding invoice from a vendor for services that were provided in a prior year for which funds were not encumbered before the close out date for voucher submission, and WHEREAS, the outstanding invoice is from the NYS Office For People With Developmental Disabilities in the amount of $11,728.62; and WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Finance has advised that the said charges are proper and should be paid; and WHEREAS, the State Comptroller has, pursuant to County Law Section 362, expressed the opinion that claims for services rendered to a county in an earlier year may be paid in a later year if the contracts were valid when made and if there are moneys legally available to be used for such purposes (Opinion 69-686), now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that payment from 2025 funds is hereby approved from the following accounts in the amounts indicated: Line Item No. A.4320.67.4420 Court Remands Amount $11,728.62 CA-067-25 CRC/rjw G-1922 06/12/25 Fiscal Impact: See attached statements APPROVED STATE OF NEW YORK SUSAN J.
