Resolution Request - Amending 2025 Budget to reflect additional Narcan
Vending Machines
This resolution authorizes the Department of Mental Health (DMH) to proceed with the
installation of additional Narcan vending machines throughout Dutchess County. The machines
and related services will be provided by Intelligent Dispensing Solutions (IDS), which will supply
and install the units as well as provide associated software, warranty coverage, cellular service,
and electrical installation (if required).
The total project cost of $65,420.50 will be fully reimbursed by Matters, Inc., resulting in no net
fiscal impact to the County. This expansion of Narcan vending access strengthens the County's
harm reduction strategy by offering residents 24/7 access to lifesaving overdose-reversal
medication at key community locations. The initiative underscores Dutchess County's ongoing
commitment to reducing overdose fatalities and improving access to treatment and recovery
