BUDGET, FINANCE & PERSONNEL RESOLUTION NO. 2025230 RE: AMENDING THE 2025 ADOPTED COUNTY BUDGET AS IT PERTAINS TO COLLEGE TUITION (A.2490) Legislators CASWELL, MC HOUL, GORMAN, D'AQUANNI, VERSACI, and KAUL offer the following and move its adoption: WHEREAS, the County is obligated to pay a portion of the tuition for Dutchess County residents who attend community colleges in other counties, and WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Finance advises that due to an increase in enrollment, which is based on a higher number of credit hours being billed by the colleges, there will be a shortfall of approximately $250,000, and WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the 2025 Adopted County Budget to provide funds to meet these expenses and obligations, now therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Commissioner of Finance is authorized, empowered and directed to amend the 2025 Adopted County Budget as follows: APPROPRIATIONS Increase A.2490.4685 Tuition-Other Community College $250,000 REVENUES Increase A.9998.95990.01 Appropriated Fund Balance $250,000 CA-163-25 EMW/rjw G-0145-A 10/29/25 Fiscal Impact: See Attached.
