There were a total of seven (7) bidders. This bid is for replacement of the existing North Grand Sanitary Sewer Pump Station along North Grand Avenue. The existing pump station is outdated and was originally put into service in 1975, more than 50 years ago. Manor Hill Mobile Home Park has received conditional approval from the Planning Board to construct new homes on their site nearby. Manor Hill contributes the majority of sanitary sewer flow to the existing pump station and the addition of new homes has triggered the need for the existing pump station to be replaced. This project will be receiving partial funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program in the sum of $199,000.00. Additionally, Manor Hill has entered into a Developer's Agreement with the Town and has agreed to pay the remainder of the construction costs as the majority user of the pump station. Corewood Ventures, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. We have confirmed that they are confident they can complete the work for the lump sum base bid price of $348,789.00. We do want to point out that they provided all required documents filled out correctly (signed and notarized where required).
